What a day it has been

Co-workers treated me today as if I lost a family member. The "I'm so sorry" comments were very common, as well as consolation that the Mets were out of the playoffs for a second year in a row.

A Phillies fan was quick to find me, with hands grasping his neck.

But one co-worker congratulated me for wearing my Mets hat around, amid yesterday's results...he said that I was a real Mets fan.

No matter what happens with my Mets, I'll never turn my back on them. For better or worse, they are the Mets, and I love them. Good, bad, pretty or ugly.

Yeah, it's not fun having your team fall apart two straight years...on the last day of the season...with the playoffs on the line. But being a fan of a team isn't always about winning.

Today I'm glad that I could represent.
